Total Gym Kneeling Rows

Kneeling on the Total Gym dramatically increases the difficulty of any exercise. Kneeling increases the exercise difficulty not by increasing resistance but by increasing the requirement for stabilization. The increased requirement for stabilization is simply because you must stabilize your legs as well as your core/waist (as opposed to sitting in which you solely need to stabilize the core).

Rows are one of the best back exercises because they work a large portion of the back's total mass including the important, deep postural muscles including the rhomboids. Because of the muscles recruited, kneeling rows on the Total Gym can be a great exercise to use to strengthen the common weak muscles in hunchback posture due to the sedentary lifestyle.

You can do the Total Gym kneeling rows at any point of your Total Gym workouts although you want to consider what your primary focus is. If your goal is to build the back muscles, using extra resistance and performing regular Total Gym rows is probably a better idea. If your goal is functional strength this is a perfect exercise to rev up your back workout and fitness program.
