Push Ups

Perhaps the most commonly known and widely used resistance training exercise of all-time are push-ups. Push-ups are such a great exercise for many reasons. Not only can push-ups be performed anywhere with no equipment, they work the core, chest, triceps and anterior deltoids. Push ups are the perfect exercise to do when you don't have access to any fitness equipment but they can also be used as part of any resistance training workout. Push ups maybe the most versatile exercise for your chest as you can vary grips or even use push-up stands or devices like the perfect push-ups to slightly modify the exercise. You can do push-ups with your chest workout but make sure you use them as part of a training split just like any other exercise for any muscle. Just because you are using your body weight doesn't mean you should perform them every day. This is especially the case if you perform high repetitions during one day, make sure you allow enough time to let the muscles involved recover completely to obtain maximal results.
