Medicine Ball Chest Press

Chest press is a compound exercise which primarily targets the chest, anterior deltoids and triceps. Moving the elbows in changes the emphasis to focus more on the triceps and anterior deltoids. This is what happens when you do the medicine ball chest press. You can lie on a bench, the floor or a stability ball to perform this exercise. Since medicine balls may not weigh enough for the medicine ball chest press to be a challenge, this exercise may be better suited for beginners or people with limited strength. For those who are stronger, a training partner (or personal trainer) can apply manual resistance to the medicine ball by pressing down on the ball during the exercise.
