Barbell Rows (Bent over Rows)

Barbell rows have been one of foundation exercises for weight lifters since the inception of bodybuilding and strength training. Barbell rows are still one of the most effective exercises you can do for your upper and lower back as well as your arms. Since barbell rows involve bending forward at the waist, many people opt for 'easier' exercises to avoid injury. The fact is, when performed properly bent over barbell rows are a very safe exercise and probably the most effective back exercise other than pull-ups.
