Gym Single Arm Pullups - Mastering the 1 arm Pull-up
One arm pull-ups are an exercise that few will be able to do during their
lifetime. You can use one
grip pull-ups in which you grip with one arm but pull with both, or you
can use the Total Gym. If you want to perform single arm pull-ups one day start
using the Total Gym on a low angle and ensure you can keep proper form. A low
level on the Total Gym may mean you are lifting less than 10% of your body
weight but you have to start somewhere.
Even if doing a pull-up with one arm is not on your life's to-do list you
can still use the Total Gym single arm pullups in your workout program to
unilaterally strengthen your lats, biceps and forearms. You can choose to
perform sets of single arm pull-ups or you can do multiple versions of the
Total Gym pullups including the
eccentric only one arm pull up.
Since the one pull-up is going to be the ultimate feat of human strength
for most people, having the full supply of your energy stores is going to
help so do these one arm pull-ups as the first exercise for back during any
workout you do them in.
