Combination exercises help you make the most out of your time in the gym and by combining two compound exercises for major muscle groups squats and rows are a perfect exercise for those interested in losing weight. Any low cable pulley can be used along with the attachment of your choice to perform squat and rows together in one smooth motion. Even though the squat and cable row may come natural both individual exercises, the squat and the cable row should be mastered before trying this progressively difficult combination exercise. Since the squat and row uses multiple major muscle groups, if you plan to use a significant amount of weight it is better used as one of the first few exercises of any workout. If you are looking to use squat and rows as a 'finisher' or 'burnout' exercise you can do so but make sure you adjust the weight accordingly.
