Medicine Ball Iso Push-Up

Using medicine balls as an unstable and uneven surface dramatically increases the difficulty of the push-up. The medicine ball iso push-up uses this uneven surface to not only work the triceps, chest and anterior deltoids, but challenge the core. Each set can be performed a variety of ways. One way is to perform it is to do a push-up with the medicine ball under one hand, then switch the elevated hand by rolling the medicine ball over to the other hand for each rep while maintaining the plank position. You can also perform a set number of reps with the medicine ball under one hand then switch. The previous method is probably most difficult. The heavier the medicine ball and the harder it is to roll can increase the difficulty of this exercise as well as wearing a weighted vest.
