Lying French Press 21s

"Twenty ones" is a very popular way to perform the lying French press exercise. "Twenty ones" involves performing 7 reps of the first 1/2 of the range of motion, followed by 7 reps of the second part of the range of motion of the lying French press along with 7 or more reps of close grip bench press. The idea is to fatigue the triceps by isolating them with the Lying French press before performing the compound close grip shoulder press. Lying French Press 21s are generally used as a 'finisher' exercise as they usually completely fatigue the triceps so they should be used towards the conclusion of your chest or triceps workout.
