Reverse cable wood chops (nickname: cable gravediggers because of its
shoveling motion) is a core and obliques exercise which primarily works in the
transverse plane. This exercise is primarily for the obliques which are
important for almost every sport and athletic competition not to mention a good
physique. The exercise is best performed using a weight which is light enough to
maintain strict form when bodybuilding is a concern but can also be performed
explosively when power production is the primary goal.
