Barbell High Pulls

Barbell high pulls are a power exercise primarily used for those involved with Olympic lifting for either competitions or explosive power. The reason the barbell high pull is important is because it is a phase during the clean and jerk. Even though this explosive exercise is for athletes it can also be used by anyone who wants to build their upper trapezius and deltoids as it recruits a specific type of fast twitch muscle fibers which are only recruited during explosive movements.
